Family planning & reproductive health

Family planning and reproductive health is the treatment of and provision of health services for patients in relation to contraception, reproductive health and associated primary sexual health issues.

The vocational training requirement in family planning and reproductive health is the Diploma of Sexual and Reproductive Health.  This is a clinical diploma awarded by the New Zealand Sexual and Reproductive Health Educational Charitable Trust with members from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Family Planning New Zealand and the New Zealand Sexual Health Society.  Family Planning acts as the secretariat.
